Walk and Talk

In a nutshell - you bring the issues, you chose where you want to walk and you decide on the length of the session.

Walking is invigorating, raising your energy levels and expanding your creativity; coaching helps you explore options, bounce ideas around and come up with solutions to move your life forward. The combination is dynamic!!

In addition to that, when you are walking, you are away from the situations and the people who may be the cause of your angst, stress, trauma and desire for change so you are able to think more clearly and widely.

You will also -

  • be getting exercise as you walk
  • be free from interruptions, and yes, all mobiles are turned off during these 'walk and talk' sessions.
  • benefit from walking's meditative quality so it calms and brings clarity. 
  • be more relaxed
  • find it easier to focus
  • have no fear of being overheard as it is just you and your coach
  • find that as eye contact is reduced it's much easier for many people to open up and really talk about what is bothering them and to share their dreams
  • be open to new ideas and also likely to come up with ideas and think more broadly.
  • discover new places and learn about your environment. 
  • have flexibility in where you walk and for how long - sessions do not all have to take place in the same location.

Walking is a great equaliser, there's just you, your coach and the environment. Often when you're walking, the experience can make us realise just how small and insignificant we are, a useful way to bring things into perspective.

Depending on what you choose, walking can be combined with a session indoors before and/or after the walk.  Often touching on an issue before the walk and then leaving it aside can result in the solution/idea coming to you as you are out there walking or once you revisit it on your return.

You can choose to walk and talk at a set regular time and place, you can vary locations, you can choose a whole day to focus on you and we can also arrange group walking with any team or business group. Just tell us what you want.
