Where can I walk?

You can really walk anywhere you want. Want to start and end at your workplace? How about walking in a favourite park or along a special walking trail? You can meet your coach at an agreed venue or use your home as a starting point.

Do you like to walk in areas of greenery and nature? Towns and cities have parks, wildlife areas, woods and forests and access to other green areas. In a city like London the choice of parks in the centre makes a walking and coaching session easy to fit into the working day. Good transport links also mean more opportunities to get to green spaces and the benefits they bring.

What about walking on a canal towpath or alongside a river? Throughout the UK and Ireland there are many inspiring and interesting walking trails involving water. These are to be found in both built up, and often industrial areas, offering historic interest as well as throughout the countryside.

Perhaps you would prefer to be cooled by sea breezes, energised by waves crashing on the rocks or enjoy walking barefoot on the sands of wonderful beaches like those on Ireland's Atlantic coast? Well tell us where you want your walking session to take place and we will try our best to make it happen.

We also have the areas of outstanding beauty like the Lake District, Peak District, Brecon Beacons, Scottish Highlands, Yorkshire Dales, Exmoor and Dartmoor to name just a few. On the doorstep of some of you I am sure but for others worth organising a visit.

'Whether a gentle amble through the forest,  power walking along the London canals or discovering hidden routes from one point of the compass to the other - walking with Heather has always been for me a very satisfying all
round experience.' - Cathy Bye

I love to walk in many different places but I have found walking a great way of getting away from it all, having time to think and to sort my thoughts. Even better with someone to ask the right questions and to listen and help me find that clarity.

Walking in my home environment, as I do in the mornings, has taken me to new places I didn't know existed and given me a different perspective on the life of South Woodford and its people. Exploring a little further afield has been a history lesson sometimes, a gastronomic tour on others and even more fun when you have someone to enjoy it with.
